I contacted Gerry after facing a very painful breastfeeding journey. I was scared to feed my daughter and admittedly had affected our bond. This was my last shot before giving up and considering formula feeding. Gerry was very prompt in replying to my initial enquiry and fitted me in very quickly. She is clearly very knowledgeable and explained alot of reasoning behind struggles I had been facing which hadn’t been addressed by midwives or health visitors. She was very thorough and professional when assessing my daughter and quickly identified her tongue tie. She referred us to the hospital, which she chased on my behalf several times. She continued to stay in contact to check on our progress, which was really nice to have the support. I am now able to feed my baby pain free as a result of Gerry’s referral. I don’t think it would have ever been identified and addressed if I didn’t have Gerry’s help. Thank you so much for bringing us closer together and allowing me to feed my girl. You're amazing!

Geraldine's support was brilliant throughout! Her approach is holistic and her recommendations considered our whole family. She has lots of knowledge of feeding and the associations babies make and communicates this well. Geraldine is reliable and follows up everything as she says she will.

We contacted Gerri two weeks after our baby was born to support with breastfeeding after a difficult birth, continuous nipple pain and struggles with our baby latching. Gerri was prompt in setting up time to talk to us and observed my wife in her “natural habitat” suggesting the best positions to get a deeper latch which my wife uses even today.

Gerri also spotted our baby’s mouth restriction and recommended local practitioners that could support us on the path to getting that corrected. Ultimately our baby had a tongue tie that midwives and clinics failed to pick up on but Gerri saw right away.

Gerri always provides valuable, up-to-date resources and advice and continues to do so along our incredibly difficult but rewarding journey with breastfeeding.

Thank you Gerri for your support and empathy in what has been the most difficult and painful thing that my wife ever had to do. You always give hope and go above and beyond to help whenever a problem arises.

Amazing! Your support was incredible through a really tough time after tongue tie reattachment and feeding issues. I was empowered with all the information to make my own decisions about getting my supply back, different options for feeding and an investigation into what had happened. You gave me such thorough support through my journey and were there when I was struggling and very anxious to remind me of the facts and empower me to choose the right options for my baby and family at the time. When things didn’t work out as I had hoped, you encouraged me to seek answers and signposted me to different services to make sure I left no stone unturned to find out where the issue lay. In doing this, I was able to process my breastfeeding grief and come to terms with the way things were and pave a new way forward that worked for us all. I now feel at peace with the way things are and I am still breastfeeding at 6 months and plan to continue despite a really difficult set of circumstances. We are incredibly grateful as a family for the support, knowledge and wisdom you were able to impar

Gerri you are the best! I’m still feeding my now 3.5 year old thanks to your advice, support, and most of all patience!

With patchy provision during lockdown and the internet being a Wild West for breastfeeding information and guidance, you were one of the biggest factors in making me feel like I could feed my little one, and I did!

Not only am I still feeding my     pre-schooler to sleep, but I was also able to donate my spare milk to other parents and babies in need for over a year. None of that would have been possible without you, you are a saint!

Every feed feels like an eternity at the start, especially if they're painful, so I was very glad how quickly I could be seen. Very proactive support, which was great as i might not have asked for help or shared my progress as readily without frequent updates and prompts. I really liked the ease of use of WhatsApp as a way to communicate rather than emails/sms/calls which are more limited. I didn't feel rushed when we met 1:1 which was good because everything feels so time-consuming with a newborn! It was good to have some links shared to support conversation, to save me trawling through Google searches so I knew the resource was appropriate and research based. I was also grateful for further support after a few days.

Gerri helped me at the time when I had given up hope. I had sought breastfeeding help from lots of other places, but things were just going from bad to worse - our baby was losing weight, she would fuss and refuse to latch. I thought I wasn’t producing enough milk and I was sure that even though I wanted it to work so much, breastfeeding was not going to work for us. Words can’t even express the pain I felt at the time.
Now our little one is 2.5 yrs old and she still breastfeeds. I can’t imagine how my journey as a mum would be if I hadn’t had support from Gerri to make it work.
Gerri is a very compassionate person and had her own struggles with breastfeeding early on, so she knew what I was going through. You know when you see her that she is going to do everything in her power to help you, that you are in safe hands .
She is so amazingly knowledgeable and resourceful about breastfeeding issues after many years of experience helping mums, that she is almost immediately able to nail the problem that you might be having and provide a solution .
She explains how important it is to fix the issues as early as you can and she will work through them with you tirelessly, over video calls or by sending you reading material or visiting you.
If I could go back to when I gave birth and battled through those feeding issues for 2 months , the only thing I would do differently is to call Gerri the day my baby was born and was not latching .
You would think that you can get the help you need from medical professionals or other support groups, but so many people don't manage to find good support, and it does get worse if you don’t get the help you need on time . So if you are reading this, you don’t need to look any further, Gerri will do everything in her power to help you!

My newborn baby was constantly vomiting, unable to lie down or sleep. After 6 worrying weeks, I contacted Gerri for virtual support, who was able to identify the problem straight away.

She explained the physiological reasons, provided a plan to resolve it, and sent over reading materials. Following her advice, within a day, my baby stopped vomiting and started to sleep lying down. I am very grateful for the knowledge and experience she provided. It was a lifesaver!

When I began struggling with breastfeeding (poor weight gain & inefficient feeding) I knew I needed proper support. You've genuinely been a wonderful beacon of support. I was so grateful for all the guidance provided remotely over WhatsApp while you were travelling. At the time I was overwhelmed by all the conflicting advice I was getting, even from NHS teams. Everything you have suggested has always been backed up by reliable sources.Your knowledge about pumping has been a bit of a game changer in helping me both protect and build my supply during the early days.On your return, I booked an in person consultation and you immediately identified oral issues in my baby that others had missed. You put together a clear plan and even helped me get referrals to explore possible underlying medical causes. This is something I am very grateful for as it does feel like you went over and above here. What I've liked about your approach is that you haven't shyed away from expecting me to put in the work in order for me to achieve my feeding goals. You've also been quite realistic about her oral issues and that it's not likely to be an easy road ahead but this was also combined with encouragement that we could find a way for me to breastfeed her longer term, however that might look. Remember I was convinced our breastfeeding journey was pretty much over!!You've also always considered how the feeding plan and pumping schedule could be fitted into my busy family life and was sustainable. As you know , we’re not completely through it yet, but we’re in a much better place than we were—and that’s all thanks to you and what you've helped me to put in place. I'm feeling more and more positive that my baby and I will continue to breastfeed for many more months, hopefully beyond a year. I've always come much further with her than any of my previous babies and I'm so grateful for your support.Having seen three other IBCLCs over the years, I can honestly say you're providing a much higher degree of support than anything I've come across previously. My experienxe with other IBCLCs is that you're lucky to receive the odd text message a few days later. With you it's so clear how passionate you are about supporting women to breastfeed! Thank you, Geraldine!

Really excellent, Geraldine was thorough, professional and kind. She took a rigorous history and identified potential issues which we then made a plan to address. The plan and advice was appropriate and realistic. She was reassuring and since seeing her, my problems have fully resolved which I am so grateful for.
